4th Annual Scholarship Fundraising Tardeada

Saturday, July 22, 2006 - Whittier, California

The Richard V. Cruz Memorial Foundation exists to promote educational opportunities in the legal profession among underserved populations in California and to address issues of equal access to law schools.

The Richard V. Cruz Memorial Foundation is a 501.c.3 nonprofit organization that supports the dream of Chicanas and Chicanos in becoming attorneys and advocating for social and economic justice issues in California.  The Foundation holds dear the memory of Richard V. Cruz who, because of his activism, selflessness, and singular compassion, dedicated his life to the legal emancipation of the poor and disenfranchised residents of California.  The Foundation promotes education among the underserved populations by establishing financial assistance for law students and addressing policies restrictive of the Foundation mission.  Our efforts will be applied to providing incentives to those who dedicate their professional lives to the values expressed by the words of Richard V. Cruz, Justice belongs to the people.
